Final #2
For the Second Life building exercise I met up with my classmates Josh and Stewart to decide what to build.

we decided to build a club for all the people of second life to hang out at!
Good start but needs some places to sit!
I decided to create a couch by placing together some objects using the building tools.
It coming along nicely fellas! Plenty of room for all of our friends.
Stewart and Josh added some wallpaper, roof, and wood grain floors! No club is complete without a helicopter!
Here we have the final product. Couches, bar, and a stage makes this one hot club!

Final #5
Education is something that has not taken full advantage of the recent incredible technological boost the world has seen, but Immersive Education is leading the way with online learning. I feel education is still being accomplished mainly in classroom, and not enough is learned from the home using the internet. Video games like Second Life, and Wonderland will be a useful way for people to communicate and interact from anywhere in the world.
I think 10 years from today technology will have increased to the point where Voice Over IP and interaction will be basically seamless and instantaneous. Internet connections today seem pretty fast, but there are still many flaws that prevent online learning from being perfect. Besides the advances to networking graphics are going to be unbelievable in 10 years. I think they will basically be life like, so recreating important places to learn with will be exact to the smallest detail.
Immersive Education is leading the way in online learning and it has been a wonderful experience using some of their programs during this class. I think they have taken a step in the right direction, and in time people all around the world will be learning through online games.

Final #1 Flash files
Here I have edited an image of hip hop recording artist 50 cent in GimpShop and made it into an animated flash file using PowerBullet.

In this Flash image we had to animate our name. I made mine drop down and bounce around!

For this final image I animated an object, check it out.

Wonderland Virtual World

http://theeducationgrid.org
Today in class we were fortunate enough to enter the wonderland virtual world program while it is in a very early beta stage. The program allows users to meet in a virtual world to collaborate with others whether it be for business or education. This is a screenshot I took while inside the game of my avatar along with my classmate Stewart Kennedy.

Midterm #10
Midterm #7

This eye-popping photo is alternative rock singer/songwriter Eddie Vedder. The picture was not big enough, and I had to increase the size to make room for the text box below. I cut the logos out using the elliptical tool in The Gimp and copied them over. Because his head is a little slanted I rotated the circles.
